What is reported speech?
Sandra speaking to Petra: "Bye, Petra, it's been great seeing you again. I'll call you some time next week when I get a chance."
Petra reporting to Roberta: "I saw Sandra yesterday. She said she'd call me next week."
- Tense change: will → would
- Other changes: you → me

Tense change
- She said she needed some help.

"We are having our lunch."
She said they were having their lunch.

"I've lost my keys."
He said he had lost his keys.

"I wrote two letters to her."
- He said he had written two letters to her. 
- He said he wrote two letters to her.

"They are going to come back."
- She said they were going to come back.

"I will be home at 6.00."
- She said she would be home at 6.00.
